Discover Dazzling Director From Nigeria Omoni Oboli ‘Okafor’s Law’ Coming To Toronto – TIFF 16

I have discovered some great film directors thanks to TIFF. There was Gurinder Chadha ‘Bhaji on the Beach’ and I knew then I wanted to work with her she went on to make ‘Bend It Like Beckham’. Then there was Shekhar Kapur ‘Bandit Queen’, and I would sit with Shekhar and his writers in Los Angles when he would give them pep talks while writing the film ‘Elizabeth’.

There are some great new finds coming to TIFF and one such film maker is Omoni Oboli Β who will have a world premier (check it out) of her latest film Okafor’s Law at TIFF16.

Omoni Oboli was born in Benin City and studied French at the University of Benin and digital filmmaking at the New York Film Academy. An actor and filmmaker, she has directed the features Being Mrs. Elliot (14), The First Lady (15), Wives on Strike (16), and Okafor’s Law (16).

The Toronto International Film Festival will spotlight eight films from NigeriaΒ as part of the City to City programme, including “Okafor’s Law.”

So let me Hollywood Khan introduce you to Nollywood star Omoni Oboli, check out her interview and the trailer of her film.
