The models came down the catwalk and swished, swashed, in gold and black offering the occasional glimpse of glistening naked skin, and toned bodies, martini glass breast’s, defining biceps, exquisitely sculpted legs looking ever so enchantingly glamorous in the creations of Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini. It was at this point that all the men had been knocked out! TKO’d, by the Gucci spring, summer collection for 2012. The women, were left wondering how big is my butt going to look in that. Milan fashion week kick off was a big hit, and why not, these styles were also a big hit in the 1920’s and Gucci has history to fall back on as it goes into it’s 90th year. While drop waist dresses with horizontal geometric lines can be a nightmare for most women, the collection was mesmerizing, sleek and the lines drew your eyes to all the right zones. The real losers here were the plastic surgeons who do breast implants. The Gucci show was not a pretty spectacle with pretty girls in pretty dresses. It was a divine spectacle, with glamorous girls in glamours dresses that left you with an intense feeling to rush out after the show for a chilled bottle of Dom Pérignon Rosé to cool your senses. The party at Gucci and My Name is Khan never stops. Bravo Gucci!
