Discover Writer Director Amma Asante ‘A United Kingdom’ At TIFF16

When I was sitting down at  the Sunset Marquis in Los Angeles with director Shekhar Kapur and his writers working on Elizabeth he said to them “dig deeper you need to really get in touch with your female side to get Elizabeth”.

This year at the Toronto international film festival actor David Oyelowo as reported by the Guardian

‘It’s absolutely inexcusable female directors are marginalised’

At TIFF 2016 you will meet several female directors, it is where I first discovered director Gurinder Chadha who went on to make ‘Bend it Like Beckham’.

Who better to be in touch with the female side than a female directory, so I am with David Oyelowo more female directors.
