Arnold about Chef Alberto “You are what you eat, I’ll be back” Australian Grand Prix 2015

The most exciting thing was seeing Arnie on the podium – Christian Horner/Red Bull Racing

Arnold Schwarzenegger had delighted everyone since his arrival in Australia. I used to go to his restaurant all the time in Venice, California and if Arnold was around he would do the rounds of all the tables to say hello.

As the race has finished Arnold was walking up to the podium and I just had received aJ back notification on my phone, from one of my girlfriends in Toronto who wanted to give me a progress report on her weight training just then Arnold tapped my shoulder, “Hey you, you know Mr. Pakistan won the 100 class?”, Arnold was referring to former Mr. Pakistan Atif Anwar. “Wow, now that is really cool, Arnold check this out one of my girlfriend’s just sent this”.

Arnold now had my phone clasped in his big hands, looking at the picture, “no body fat that is a good start” he said. As he was about to give me my phone another notification came up, and it was Chef Alberto Annarumma, Arnold looked at it before passing me the phone I did tell him I will show you the rest of what this chef is up to but Arnold had to go and left me with his famous words, “You are what you eat, I’ll be back”. I will leave it up to Arnolds girlfreind to get him to Amalfi for a visit with Chef Annarumma.  As Arnold found out all the driver work out hard and our big into fitness and good food.  If you are going to any of the races in Europe then a must stop would be with the Chef in Amalfi. I am pretty sure that Elyse Knowles can manage to drag Daniel Ricciardo for a meal with the chef after seeing these images from his Instagram.

Chefs Who Rock – Chef Lukas Vyhnal – Le Papillon On The Park – Toronto


David Bowie loves food. Who can live without food, not just any food, but really good food. The David Bowie Is exhibit’s first stop on tour was Toronto. Toronto also host the number one film festival in the world, The Toronto International Film Festival. So I decided to go about photographing chef’s who rock their kitchen with the Jarrell guitar a very special guitar as you will see in the film David Bowie Is Around The World and who plays this guitar, yes take a guess.

Chef Lukas Vyhnal has done his bit in the big leagues of luxury and prepared meals for billionaire Lakshmi Mittal whose daughter Vanisha Mittal’s wedding was the second most expensive in recorded history. He is certainly a “Chef Who Rocks”.

If like me you love old Montreal then you will love Le Papillon On The Park. The summer is here so enjoy their tree-lined rooftop patio (cocktails are just wow and refreshing ). Executive Chef Vyhnal and his team will serve you the freshest organic produce from their Rooftop Organic Garden. This is the best place in Toronto to get a taste of authentic French-Canadian accented with French classics.

I don’t care for stuffy and when David Bowie and I went out to dinner we never did stuffy (Bowie did wear a tie and jacket but then he is a Londoner) I like to keep it chilled and casual. Would I take Bowie to dinner and introduce him to the team of Chef Vyhnal at Le Papillon On The Park, absolutely, these guys can rock the kitchen and they are fun. Now that is the type of place you want to go eat at.

Bowie Film On Location With Oliver Glowig TOCA Restaurant

Oliver Glowig I wore all white, with the only colour being my red Puma Ferrari shoes as Ritz Carlton’s TOCA restaurant became the location for a scene in my‘David Bowie Is Around The World’ film with 2 Michelin Star chef Oliver Glowig. The white attire to bled into the kitchen, the Ferrari shoes, as the chef is German married to an Italian so it would be safe to guess he may love Ferrari and Formula One Racing. Toronto is about to gear up, as is the Ritz Carlton for The Toronto International Film Festival, where the film directed by Ron Howard, ‘Rush’ a story of the rivalry between a German Niki Lauda and James Hunt from United Kingdom will be shown.  As the chef got busy in the kitchen it was not long before he said to me,”I saw your picture with Niki Lauda”. The chef was referring to the photo below, with Toronto International Film Festival Gala Chair and board director Warren Spitz, Niki, and the CEO of TIFF Pierce Handling.  I asked the chef  if he liked Formula One, and he did not miss a beat in telling me that he loved it, “German’s are very strong in the sport”, we both smiled.

Chef Oliver Glowig performs in the kitchen with the calmness of a Michael Schumacher, easy going personality of Sebastian Vettel, and while appearing casual, is in total control such as Niki Lauda currently the CEO of Mercedes Benz Formula One ‘Silver Arrows Team’. What more could you ask for? in the case of chef Glowig the flare of the Italian and what you get is something very spectacular.
