Le Tour de France and the discovery of British model Emma Louise

Chris Froome is set to become the first Briton to win three Tour de France titles after safely negotiating a rain-soaked penultimate stage in the Alps. As I go through pictures taken during the day I also go through my social media and it was on my Instagram I find a new follower British model, Emma Louise.

I once found some fashion designers shot a video of them posted it on YouTube and that YouTube clip was seen by the later singer Prince and he made them his designers. My theory thus is rock solid. Discover and share because you never know, that’s the whole point of social media.

The buzz after today’s stage was about a British rider so it was fitting that a new discovery from Britain be shared. So here is British Chris Froome in the rain and Emma Louise on her Instagram.

TIFF14 – Shemar Moore meets David Bowie – ‘Criminal Minds and Criminal World’

pix_49919

I have never seen Shemar Moore in ‘Criminal Minds’ , but all I can say is that my mother for whom the show is like a good fix she has nothing but nice things to say about Moore and what a good speaker he is. David Bowie covered a song by Peter Godwin ‘Criminal World’.   It took The Toronto International Film Festival to bring them together in the lobby of The Ritz Carlton Hotel.

Someone whom I have come to know Peter Godwin is a new wave musician who was part of the band Metro, as well as a solo artist and songwriter.  Peter was introduced to me by NJ Taylor a singer, songwriter, in Montreal.  She had sent me a text about Godwin this guy who I must meet because I am making a film David Bowie Is Around The World and she told me in a very excited manner and guess what David Bowie covered Godwin’s song ‘Criminal World’ .  Naturally I said yes I want to meet Godwin, because I know Bowie he is just not about to cover anyone unless there is something about their work that is speaking to him.

N.J. Taylor , Shemar Moore and David Bowie ( well the Bowie paddle ) anyway are all at the Toronto film festival, it’s one of those once of a lifetime and less than six degrees of separation moment coming together and no one could have planned this better.

Here are both versions of Godwin’s song ‘Criminal World’.

David Bowie Film Discovery – ‘Dead Sea Skulls’ and their “Riding High” Official Video Rocking London Town

Cincopa WordPress plugin

If you think that the film David Bowie Is Around The World does not have some scout lurking around spying looking for talent,  guess what? you would be wrong.  The word is out and the scouts all eager to help are quick to drop a tweet, to say hey check this out.

The Dead Sea Skulls discovery took place in a manner that is so Bowie it is unreal.  It all started at the iconic hotel in London, The Savoy and many thanks to Zebra One Gallery, the office of the Fairmont in Toronto and the fast acting team of The Savoy who invited a guest to the showing of rare photographs of Kate Moss.  Three British Icons, Bowie, Moss, The Savoy in the mix magic had to be present and it was brilliantly scouted.  In a city that is rocking fashion week, Prince and his all girl band 3rd Eye Girl you would think that was enough, not in London.  These three dudes not only rock but do it with style.  Check this video out, I love the manner in which it was shot, and Riding High tell me if that is not a killer tune.  More on the band in an interview to come, here is the kick-ass tune of Dead Sea Skulls Official video Riding High.
