Canada’s First EVER Medal In The Event Women’s 4 X 200m Freestyle A Bronze – Rio 2016

Penny Oleksiak story continues. The 16-year-old captured her third medal at Rio 2016, by anchoring the 4×200 freestyle relay to bronze medal.

The Toronto native took the reigns from teammates Katerine Savard, Taylor Ruck, and Brittany MacLean to touch for time of seven minutes 45.39 seconds.

The United States won the race, while Australia finished second.

It is Canada’s first-ever Olympic medal in the event. It also counts as the second medal for 16-year-old Taylor Ruck, and the fourth Canadian swimming medal, all by women.
